these [sneakers] were made for walkin'

Despite my mother's protests, the chucks made it to the streets of Spain.
Enjoyed many picture taking and adventure seeking activities yesterday. I spent the afternoon wandering aimlessly around Bilbao solo. I find when homesickness pangs, it's best to get out of the house and act touristy for a while to remind yourself why you're here. So that's exactly what i did; looped a camera around my neck and set for the city.
 the guggenheim, bilbao.
just outside the university. everything here is gorgeous. so authentic.

 entertainment: gratis!
there was a band and conga line running around the plaza for hours.
my girl lindsay and i polished off our drinks and pinchos and set for the hills.
begona, high above the rooftops. amazing views.
and to round off the evening, we stumbled upon this hidden spanish carnival, surrounded by mountains and bustling with activity. grabbed ourselves some churros con azucar and plotted a spot under a tree to enjoy the view before heading home for the night.
